Good repair work does not start with a screwdriver; it starts with a clear sequence of what happens and when. At Goldy Maintenance every device follows the same journey, trivial fault or stubborn one, and at each stage you know where it stands and what decision waits on you. This page walks through that journey step by step, from considering the trip to leaving with the device and a warranty document.
Before you arrive
Ten minutes of preparation removes a full day of delay. Before coming to Goldy Maintenance, please have four things ready:
- A backup of anything that matters, if the device still powers on. Some repairs require a reset or board replacement, and data survives neither.
- A precise fault description: when it began, whether a drop, a spill or a power event preceded it, and whether it happens every time or intermittently.
- Your passcode or unlock pattern, without which a repair cannot be verified once completed.
- Only the relevant accessories — the charger or cable if the fault involves charging. We do not ask for cases, SIM cards or memory cards unless they bear on it.
Send the description ahead to +966501234500 or info@goldysoftactive.com and we will tell you whether the device is within our scope before you travel.
Step one: intake and opening the job
At intake we open a uniquely numbered job and issue a receipt recording the model and serial number, the visible condition on arrival including scratches, cracked glass or liquid marks, the accessories handed over, and the fault in your own words. We go through it with you before signing, because it is the sole reference if any question arises later. Keep it: it is what releases the device back to you.
Step two: initial inspection and the inspection fee
The device goes to the inspection bench, not the repair bench. We begin with supply and current measurements and observation under operation, opening it partially where the fault demands. This stage carries an inspection fee published on the service page in SAR, credited against the repair if you approve it with us. Where a device proves beyond economic or technical repair, that fee is all we charge; the device is returned as received with a written explanation.
Step three: the written report and your approval
Inspection ends in a report sent to you by +966501234500 or info@goldysoftactive.com setting out the probable fault, the parts required and the grade of each, labour and parts costed separately, and an estimated turnaround. Nothing further is touched until we hold your explicit approval. Should a cost the report did not anticipate emerge mid-job, work stops and the revised figure goes to you afresh: approve it, or decline and collect the device as it stands.
Step four: the repair and parts supply
Once approved, the device moves to the repair bench. Where the part is in stock, work begins the same day; where it must be ordered, we confirm the expected wait beforehand so you can wait or take the device back. We do not hold equipment hostage to a part with no confirmed arrival date.
Step five: post-repair testing and collection
Nothing leaves Goldy Maintenance merely because it switched on. After repair the device is tested under load, monitored for thermal behaviour and current draw, and checked across the repaired function and those adjacent to it. We then call you on 009004 to arrange collection. The device is released only to the receipt holder or the registered telephone number, and we demonstrate it working at the counter before you leave.
| Stage | What happens | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Intake | Job opened, visible condition recorded | Check and sign the receipt |
| Inspection | Measurement, diagnosis, partial disassembly | Settle the inspection fee |
| Report | Fault, parts, cost and turnaround stated | Approve or decline |
| Repair | Work carried out, parts ordered if needed | Approve any revised cost |
| Collection | Post-repair testing and demonstration | Present the receipt and settle |
After collection
The device leaves with an invoice itemising labour, parts and each part's grade, and a ninety-day repair warranty covering the work performed and the component replaced. Should the same fault return in that period, bring the device and invoice back to Goldy Maintenance and we re-inspect at no further fee. Full cover and exclusions are set out on our policy page.
