Maintenance & repair Applies to all customers Part of the store terms

At Goldy Maintenance we treat every device left on our bench as something held in trust rather than a job ticket. It holds family photographs, client records, irreplaceable correspondence, and sometimes a livelihood suspended until it starts again. That is why Goldy Maintenance is built on one principle we do not trade away: we never promise what we have not yet established, and we never begin work until you know precisely what your money and your time are buying. This page sets out who we are, what we repair, and the limits we admit before asking for your confidence.

Why Goldy Maintenance exists

The idea grew out of complaints anyone who has used a repair shop will recognise: a verbal estimate that shifts two days later, a device that arrives with one fault and leaves with two, a part described as genuine with nothing to support the claim, and a promise of "tomorrow" that stretches into a week. We chose to answer each of those with a written procedure rather than a reassurance: an intake receipt carrying a job number for every device, a written inspection report before any intervention, your explicit approval of the cost, and full disclosure of the grade of every part we fit. At Goldy Maintenance, anything not written down is not a commitment, and anything written down we stand behind.

What we repair

Our remit is electronic, electrical and household equipment that can be diagnosed and repaired at component or module level, rather than simply swapped out. In practice that covers:

  • Phones and tablets: displays, batteries, charging ports, speakers, cameras and power faults.
  • Desktop and portable computers: power supplies, cooling, storage, keyboards and memory upgrades.
  • Small and mid-sized domestic appliances: control boards, motors, heating elements, switches and sensors.
  • General electrical equipment: supply faults, cabling, internal protection devices and intermittent operation.

Where a device falls outside that scope, we say so on day one rather than hold it for a week.

Diagnosis before promises

Guesswork is the most expensive thing a customer can pay for. A technician who guesses replaces one part after another until something works, and you fund every attempt. Goldy Maintenance therefore draws a hard line between two stages: diagnosis, which ends in a report setting out the probable fault, the parts required, the cost and an estimated turnaround; and repair, which does not begin until you have approved that report. Diagnosis carries an inspection fee published on the service page in SAR, and that fee is credited against the repair if you approve the work with us.

Honest parts, honest labour

Three rules admit no exception at Goldy Maintenance. First, we do not replace a healthy component: if the fault is a connector, a dry joint or a software configuration, we say so and invoice labour rather than parts. Second, we do not inflate a fault, and nothing enters the report unless it demonstrably affects how the device performs. Third, replaced parts belong to you and are returned on request at collection, unless returned to a supplier under a warranty exchange we identify for you.

What we do not claim

Candour matters more here than marketing. We do not claim that every device is repairable, we do not guarantee a repair time to the hour, and we cannot promise that opening a device will reveal nothing beyond what the initial inspection found. Unless the service page states otherwise, we are not an authorised agent for any brand, and repair outside a manufacturer's own channels may affect a device still under factory warranty. You hear this before you hand the device over, not after it reaches the bench.

If your device is still covered by its manufacturer's warranty, tell us at intake. We will review with you whether the authorised route is the better option, even where that costs us the job. This is stated policy at Goldy Maintenance, not a courtesy.

Our team and our daily discipline

Goldy Maintenance is staffed by technicians trained in board-level repair rather than blind substitution, under supervision that reviews reports before they are sent and devices before release. Every repair passes a check covering load, thermal behaviour and current draw before we declare it ready. Intake and collection both take place at the workshop at 3745 King Abdulaziz Rd, Al Wurud Dist., Riyadh 12345 during Sat – Thu: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM · Fri: closed, and we release a device only to the holder of the receipt or to the registered telephone number on the job. That restriction is not administrative fussiness; it is what stops your device and your data leaving with the wrong person.
